The seminar Creating a Diverse Workplace to Attract and Retain the Best Talent, took place at the Kitchener Holiday Inn. Michelle Leyte and Jassy Narayan gave presentations to 14 employers attendees.

The Front Line service providers EXPO was planned and took place on April 30, 2008 at the Delta in Kitchener. Over 150 service providers attended and took part in formal presentations, 25 service provider agency booths and received a service provider  binder that contained new and updated services templates.

Waterloo Region Mentorship Program formal launch took place on April 2nd, 2008 at 11:00am at the Delta Hotel in Kitchener, over 120 stakeholders and media attended.

The 3rd Networking/Recruiting Breakfast, hosted by the New Canadian Program in partnership with WRIEN will be held on January 16, 2008, 8:00am at Kitchener City Hall Rotunda.
